This last week I got reminded how much friendships mean in the military. We as spouses are expected to move every three years and re-setup where ever the U.S military wants our men. Friendships can be the hardest thing in the world to start; but once started you know you’re not getting rid of that person. Sadly when our time is up in that place we are not only moving our home again but also leaving ones we have become very close to. Army Wives reminded me that no matter what the circumstance Roxy, Pamela, Claudia Joy, Denise and Rolland are all there for one another. However the fate of the military and one getting out has spread them apart taking Roxy and Pamela away from each other. How do we say see you later when see you later seems so far away. Texting, facebook, and phone calls are all we have for now; John 15:12-15 tells us this is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. This has made our separating a little bit easier because even though its taken some time to get use to not being on the same street; I know that I have a friend in our savior Lord Jesus Christ.
James 4:8 says Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded
So remember this week for those of you moving or getting ready to move while you’re leaving some of the greatest friends behind to see at a later time you are taking the greatest one with you
