Happy Mother's Day

God couldn't be everywhere, so he created mothers

Mother's Day, a day to celebrate our mothers. what an awesome day to show how much we appreciate everything they do and put up with from each of their kids. This year happens to be the second year in a row my mom doesn't have either one of her kids at home :(. Even worse I didn't get her card out in time so I decided to put it in a blog posting for everyone to see.  Like every mother-daughter relationships ours has certainly had it's ups and downs so honestly this poems states it perfectly.

Worth 1000 Words

This week Wives of Faith an organization i'm very fond of is hosting a blog carnival which has many topics we all can relate to. Wives of Faith is an organization that gets together all over the world to empower each other with the word of Jesus Christ. Check it out today and see how you can become apart of an amazing group; or maybe even get a group started where you are.  Today's topic is  It’s been said that a picture’s worth a thousand words.

                                                                                                Taken in Port Hueneme, Ca

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through Faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.                                                                    Galatians 3:2627

With time pictures fade but the memories we take with them remain tattooed on our hearts. My story is not unlike many of the others. Born and raised on the path of where church bells are all too common. Like many I rebelled, and finally came back stumbling. When I stumbled I found myself looking up and on my own in the city of Port Hueneme, California. For a Kansas girl that’s a pretty dramatic change; however the four ladies in the picture above are some of the few friends that helped. I learned pretty quickly that without friends military life can get really rough. They made my first duty station a piece of cake and really enjoyable Being the new wife in town can be pretty intimidating, wives of faith help me find my sense of balance. Being able to share faith only made it better. One of my first events was to witness a baptism. I have always believed but somehow seeing a baptism in the ocean made it that more surreal. Wives of Faith really helped this gal become one with our savior Jesus Christ. Our leader of that chapter had invited us all to her church and it wasn’t long before all five of us attended regularly; I have to thank my leaders for letting me be part of something simply peaceful and amazing that reminds me how awesome our God truly is. Sense this lovely gal got baptized in the ocean we have had many spouses and kids start their journey’s with our Lord. In so many ways I have God to thank for bringing all of these ladies into my life; just thinking of them and the time I have had with each one makes me think of where I was and where I am going and that none of this would of ever been possible without Jesus. It’s within this picture that I know All Things are possible through Christ who strengthens me. Phil. 4:13.
